UEC Fibrous Plasterboard for Interior Ceiling Applications

UEC Fibrous Plasterboard is a non-asbestos gypsum plasterboard reinforced with fibreglass strands for interior ceiling lining, decorative applications and shaped ceiling designs.

UEC Fibrous Plasterboard is manufactured from gypsum plaster reinforced with evenly distributed fibreglass strands at a stated ratio of 365 grams per m². The board has an approximate density of 1100 kg/m³ and features a smooth white front surface with a slightly rougher reverse side. It is suitable for interior ceiling lining and can be used to create clean, decorative ceiling finishes in commercial, industrial, residential and institutional projects.

Flexible Design and Available Types

The plasterboard can be moulded into different shapes and sizes according to the design requirements, making it suitable for concealed ceiling systems, decorative ceiling features and functional ceiling applications. Standard board dimensions are 1200 mm × 1800 mm, with thickness options of 9 mm and 12 mm. It is available in Standard and Moisture Resistant types.

Fire and Moisture Performance

The product is described as non-combustible and tested in accordance with BS 476 Part 4 for the non-combustibility of building materials. The Moisture Resistant version has a water-repellent surface and is stated to comply with the BS 1230 Part 1 water absorption test. UEC Fibrous Plasterboard is also stated to hold SGLS Green Label certification.
