BORAL StandardCORE for Interior Wall and Ceiling Linings

BORAL StandardCORE is a gypsum plasterboard lining designed for interior walls, partitions and ceilings, with available thicknesses and backing options for different project requirements.

BORAL StandardCORE is an interior wall and ceiling lining board made from a gypsum plaster core enclosed by heavy-duty face and backing liners. It is suitable for wall, partition and ceiling systems in residential, commercial, institutional and renovation projects. The board is described as durable, stable, environmentally friendly and non-hazardous to work with, while recessed and square edge options support different installation and finishing arrangements.

Product Sizes and System Applications

BORAL StandardCORE is available in 9.5 mm, 12.5 mm and 16 mm thicknesses, with a standard width of 1200 mm. Standard lengths include 2400 mm, 2440 mm, 2700 mm, 2743 mm, 3000 mm and 3048 mm. The stated weights are 6.40 kg/m² for 9.5 mm boards, 7.65 kg/m² for 12.5 mm boards and 11.80 kg/m² for 16 mm boards. The product may be incorporated into framed wall, partition and suspended ceiling systems according to the relevant drawings and manufacturer’s installation requirements.

Standards and Optional Protective Backing

The stated product standard is BS 1230 Part 1 and ASTM C36. Product testing references BS 1230 Part 1, BS 476 Parts 4, 6 and 7, and ASTM C473. Upon request, BORAL StandardCORE may be supplied with aluminium foil backing for areas exposed to extremely high temperatures or PVC backing for high-humidity areas where a moisture barrier and sag prevention are required.
